Temporary resident permit

Canadian immigration officers are able to declare some people inadmissible to Canada.  This means that they are not allowed to enter.  There are many reasons you could be declared inadmissible to Canada. For example, you could be declared inadmissible if you have had a previous driving under the influence charge, certain medical conditions, or for financial reasons. If you believe you are unable to travel to or enter Canada, applying for a Temporary resident permit could be a solution.

You are eligible to apply for a temporary resident permit if your need to stay or enter Canada is outweighed by the health or safety risk to Canada.
