Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident Pathway
The Provincial Nominee Program is for foreign workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada and have the skills and education to contribute to a province (or territory) and wish to live in that province. Each province establishes its own streams and defining criteria.
The IRCC does allow individuals to appeal certain immigration decisions. The Immigration Appeal Division is in charge of managing these immigration appeals including orders of removal, residency obligations, and sponsorship decisions. To start the process, you must file a Notice to Appeal document and gather the information regarding your initial application.
Notably, there are certain decisions which cannot be appealed (such as the denial of temporary resident permits). In these cases, you must ask another officer to reconsider the application.
