Atlantic Canada refers to the provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The IRCC has created a specific program to support employers in Atlantic Canada and to spur economic development. The Atlantic Immigration Pilot program helps employers recruit skilled workers and international graduates, and sponsor those candidates for permanent residence.
Express Entry is Canada’s system that manages permanent residency for high-skilled foreign workers. The online application process ranks an applicant’s work experience, education, and language skills, along with other factors
If you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada or Canadian Indian, you are eligible to sponsor certain individuals to come to Canada. This sponsorship does come with obligations, such as the requirement to provide the family members with financial support. For more information on Family sponsorship, kindly book consultation. In addition to the permanent residency options, the IRCC also has several ways that you can visit and stay in Canada on a more temporary basis.
Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident Pathway
The Provincial Nominee Program is for foreign workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada and have the skills and education to contribute to a province (or territory) and wish to live in that province. Each province establishes its own streams and defining criteria.
The Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident Pathway is only open for a limited time in Canada. Please contact our Canada Team immediately if you need support in order to take advantage of this program.
The program is established for temporary residents that are currently working in Canada. To qualify for this pathway you must:
● Have qualifying work experience in the health services field or another essential workforce segment
● Be a recent graduate from a Canada post-secondary school
There are 6 streams in the pathway (3 for both English and French speaking candidates and 3 streams designated solely for French speaking people). Once the streams are filled, they will be removed and no longer accept applications.
Kindly book a consultation for more information about the permanent residence pathway for temporary residents or for support with an application. Book A Consultation.
