Canada has always remained connected to the people of Hong Kong and has enacted public policy changes as a response to deteriorating human rights in the region. The IRCC has a temporary public policy that supports Hong Kong residents that are currently in Canada. The pathway provides permanent residence for qualified people and their dependants.

There are 2 streams for this pathway:

● Stream A for In-Canada graduates

● Stream B for individuals with Canadian work experience

This public policy is only applicable for a limited time and will expire on August 31, 2026.
