Alberta has announced the details of the first draw of 2022 through the Express Entry-linked stream of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.
The January 5 draw saw 250 candidates invited, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 327, 24 points lower than the previous draw.
Important requirements for the Alberta Express Entry stream are that candidates have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to the province, and are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification.

Alberta reached its federal government nomination limit of 6,250 in 2021. The allocation for 2022 is currently not known.
The province also has 450 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 775 expression of interest applications in the Alberta Express Entry pool.
